The New LecturEnfant 2.0 Reading Program

This resource replaces the previous reading program, which was available 2013-2024.

Our new web based reading program, LecturEnfant 2.0, is designed for young French immersion learners in Canada, helping K-3 students build a solid reading foundation. Students work through a structured platform of videos, interactive quizes and recording functions to complete books and progress through reading levels. Teachers listen to student recordings and monitor student progress. School and private accounts available.

Reading Progress Map

From the ocean to the beach to the forest, students progress through a journey of reading. Each point on the map corresponds to a reading series. As books are completed, puzzles are built. Students see a clear representation of their reading efforts.

Reading Levels

270 books, 27 reading series, 10 comprehensive reading levels.

  • Level A - A1, A2, A3, A4.    4 series of 10 books in each. Each series concludes with final book evaluation.
  • Level B - B1, B2, B3, B4.    4 series of 10 books in each. Each series concludes with final book evaluation.
  • Level C - C1, C2, C3, C4.   4 series of 10 books in each. Each series concludes with final book evaluation.
  • Level D - D1, D2, D3.    3 series of 10 books in each. Each series concludes with final book evaluation.
  • Level E - E1.   12 books with final book evaluation.
  • Level E - E2.   Level E extension. 8 book series, dedicated Canadian content series at same reading level as E1.
  • Level F - F1.   12 books with final book evaluation.
  • Level F - F2.   Level F extension. 8 book series, dedicated Canadian content at same reading level as F1.

Reading Evaluations

Customizable

  • Self-evaluations: for each book, students record and listen to themselves reading a passage.
  • Teacher evaluations: each book is an opportunity for students to record a short passage for the teacher (running records provided).
  • Final book of each level/series (Canadian content series excluded) is an evaluation with students recording the entire book for their teacher.
  • 21 final (evaluation) books with running records
  • Final books comprised exclusively of text found in current and previous levels.
  • Student must complete all books in a level before gaining access to the final book.
  • Easy teacher feedback. Send a voice or text message to your student for each recording made.
  • Teachers can turn on/off student recording function.
  • Teacher can move student to any book, any level.
  • Teacher can request a new recording from student.
  • Teacher can unlock all books and levels, or have student work through the levels in order, with each completed level unlocking the next.

  • Students earn animal emojis for every completed step.
  • Students earn a puzzle piece for each completed book.

Student Friendly Login

Each class has a unique code. Student enters code, selects avatar, enters 3 picture password.

Reading Steps

For each book, students complete 7 or 8 steps. Step 8 is turned on or off by the teacher. For level evaluation (Final Book), students go directly to step 8 to record the entire book, reading without any preview.

Video instructed reading. Student practices words or sentences.

Interactive quiz. Each answer must be correct to continue.

Huge Bonus Video Library

An additional collection of over 350 quality videos to practice individual and blended letter sounds, skills for decoding new words, sight word lists, vocabulary, conjugated verbs and more is available for students and teachers through a shared classroom login. Currently this new collection of videos is accessed separately on our LivresVideo.net site (access included with subscription). We will soon be integrating our video library within the student dashboard, complete with student incentives for viewing and teacher tracking of student activity.
