About our books

Teachers have access to all PDF books, PDF handouts and videos.
Students have access to all video books from both school and home.

Lecture Enfant books are carefully created by a team of teachers with many years of experience teaching French immersion and core French.

Through 18 levels, Lecture Enfant books expose students to a variety of increasingly challenging texts. Many aspects are considered when creating and leveling our books, including:

  • the number of words in a line
  • the number of words in a sentence
  • the number of words on a page
  • the number of words in a book
  • the number of unique, repeated and high frequency words
  • the vocabulary and verb tenses
  • the size of letter font
  • the size of the spacing between words
  • the number and quality of illustrations
  • the subject matter
